Red wine, Ancreus, Langhe DOC, 2007 , less than 15.00 € Excellent (85)
Fairly open nose, delicately tart red and some black berries, herbaceous and light mineral notes. Quite juicy and slightly tart on the palate, herbaceous and earthy traces, light oak and some chocolate, medium-fine, slightly astringent tannins, full-bodied and creamy, slightly astringent oak on an otherwise good finish.
Partly preserved red berries and a hint of blueberries on the nose, delicate vegetal and floral traces in the background, some old oak. Quite full-bodied on the palate, clear, predominantly red fruit, delicate hint of chocolate, light vegetal notes, fairly fine but also fairly prominent tannins, fairly persistent, very creamy, light hint of coffee in the background, licorice and chocolate on a good finish.
Red and some black berries on the nose, vegetal traces, touch of old oak, light volatile and lactic notes. Slightly spicy fruit on the palate, nutty notes and chocolate, fairly creamy and quite full-bodied, old oak, hint of tobacco, earthy traces, medium-fine tannins, good persistence, hint of rubber and some coffee, good finish.
