Breaking them would mean not seeing them <strong>sprout<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Basically, it consists of <strong>cutting off excess vegetation<\/strong> (at the lowest possible point) leaving only two essential elements on the plant. The <strong>fruiting head<\/strong>, the shoot whose buds will produce the clusters, and the <strong>spur<\/strong>, a shorter shoot reduced to two buds, which is essential for selecting the next year&#8217;s fruiting head.<\/p>\n<p>This activity always gives me <strong>extreme peace of mind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Me, <strong>alone<\/strong>, together with <strong>nature<\/strong>, away from the noise, with <strong>birdsong<\/strong> in the background. I find it is really a way to be able to<strong> reflect on several things<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I like to call it a &#8220;<strong>philosophical moment<\/strong>&#8221; in which I feel that there is attunement between me and the plant, an intimate and visceral, almost<strong> sacred relationship<\/strong> that gives me great satisfaction.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, although there are many <strong>jobs in the vineyard<\/strong> during the rest of the year, <strong>this is the one I prefer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In winter, when the vine is in its resting phase, it needs to be pruned.
